CBI 50 years

Celebrate 50 years of CBI with us during our online event on 11 October 2022. This event gives us the opportunity to look back at 50 years of partnerships, projects and journeys with more than 10,000 Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in 70 countries.

During a lively programme, we looked  at CBI’s past, celebrate our achievements and discuss what we want to achieve in the coming years. If you want to watch the event, please click here

Agenda

11:50-12:15 CEST: Welcome by Tjerk Opmeer, Director International at Netherlands Enterprise Agency, and the new CBI Managing Director Judith Arends.
12:15-12:30 CEST: CBI Icons and former directors will be put in the spotlight.
12:30-13:00 CEST: Interview with the Bangladesh Embassy in the Netherlands and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangladesh. 
13:00-13:15 CEST: Laura Bas: Youth Ambassador, sexual reproductive health and rights, Gender Equality and Bodily Autonomy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
13:15-13:45 CEST: Break
13:45-14:30 CEST: During an interactive discussion, we discuss the different sustainability challenges a sector faces. Importer Johnny Cashew, exporter Chu Lin (SG Agro) and Business support organisation talk about their challenges with the nut sector.
14:30-14:45 CEST: Motivational speaker from the company Moyee Coffee will talk about sustainability in the Coffee sector.
14:45 CEST: End of programme.
