Myanmar Exporters At Seafood Expo Global 2019

The seafood sector in Myanmar has a large potential to contribute to food security, employment and economic development. Natural resources are widely available and many products, such as rohu, shrimp, soft shell crab and pangasius, have a large commercial potential in high value markets in the EU and other overseas markets.

Since 2015, the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI) has been coaching a selection of Myanmarese companies in an intensive export coaching programme. This programme is aiming to contribute to sustainable economic development in Myanmar through the expansion of exports to Europe.

At the 2019 edition of the Seafood Expo Global in Brussels, CBI presents the Myanmar Pavilion, with six experienced suppliers from Myanmar representing the full seafood variety of their country. These companies are ready for long-term, stable and mutually beneficial partnerships with European buyers.
