Diana Quiroz, research coordinator at Profundo
Diana Quiroz coordinates Profundo's value chains and human rights research group and the company’s participatory research. For the past ten years, she has repeatedly conducted supply chain analyses in relation to varied commodity chains. Her work includes studying market potential and specific challenges and opportunities in upstream and downstream countries. Through this work, she has built strong networks with soft commodity importers and traders in key consumer markets.
Pavel Boev, sustainable supply chains researcher at Profundo
Pavel is a Sustainable Supply Chains Researcher at Profundo. He focuses on the traceability and sustainability of soft commodities, as well as relevant regulations like the EUDR. Previously, Pavel worked at Société Générale, Deloitte, and WWF. At WWF Russia, he managed the Food and Markets workstreams and promoted certification schemes such as RTRS, Proterra, RSPO, MSC, and FSC. At Deloitte, he contributed to consulting projects for global agri-food clients. At Société Générale, he assessed the sustainability standards of the bank's clients, ensuring alignment with EU regulations.
Somoye Otieno, commercial director at Konza Tropicals
Somoye (Rahel) Otieno is a Commercial Director at Konza Tropicals. This is an independent consultancy in Nairobi that supports horticultural trade and export companies. Somoye works with experienced horticultural exporters to improve their access to export markets. She handles sustainability advice, programme sales, and engagement. She also represents the company at international trade fairs and events. Her background includes smallholder agricultural value chains and agribusiness development. Somoye is especially experienced in helping SMEs and farmers in Africa grow commercially. She also focuses on product development and launching social impact startups.
