How to use digital tools to meet EUDR requirements

Are you exporting to Europe? Meeting the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) rules can be challenging. The right tools can help you provide European buyers with the information they need. But how do you choose the best apps or software? And how can they support EUDR compliance? Read more and download our publications for step-by-step guidance.

Starting on 30 December 2025, 7 export products must meet the EUDR requirements. All coffee, cacao, soy, palm oil, cattle, rubber and wood must:

  • come from land not deforested after 1 January 2021; and
  • be produced according to the producing country's laws. 

Importers and traders in Europe must prove they comply with the EUDR legislation by signing a Due Diligence Statement (DDS).  As a farmer, cooperative, exporter, business support organisation (BSO), or government official, you must provide European buyers with the required geodata and legal documentation.

Types of digital solutions for EUDR compliance

Roughly 5 types of digital solutions can help you achieve compliance. These tools consist of websites, software or apps for:

  1. Basic field mapping;
  2. Professional field mapping and spatial analysis; Satellite-based environmental monitoring;
  3. Farm sustainability & traceability;
  4. Supply chain and risk management.
